Louvre Screen Family Residence
Ghana
A single-storey modern home wrapped in a horizontal louvre screen, with a twin carport, broad terraced steps and warm architectural lighting.
The challenge
Giving a single-storey home a striking, private street frontage while keeping the living spaces bright and cool.
Our solution
A slatted louvre box screens the main living space from the street and the sun, while a deep flat roof overhang shades the entrance terrace. A covered twin carport and lit stepping-stone paths complete the approach.
Outcomes
- Louvre screen adds privacy and solar shading
- Covered twin carport integrated with the house
- Layered night lighting for façade, steps and garden
